Kate & Josh - Top Of The World With You
Blue Mountains? 1930’s log cabin? Clifftop elopement?
If these three things have ticked all the boxes for you, definitely check out Kate & Josh’s picturesque and intimate elopement below. Staying at a beautiful 1930’s style North American cabin in the heart of the Blue Mountains, Kate and Josh were able to have the relaxed and slow paced day they were after. With just one family witness each, the ceremony was quick and low key, with Victoria Eustace from All We Need Is Love taking care of proceedings. Vows, viewing of tattoos instead of rings (see Josh’s thigh below for his lovely ode to Kate in ink) and a glass of champagne were all done in under 10 minutes. Not bad for a Thursday evening.
Below are some of my favourite medium format film scans from the day. The AirBNB inside and garden outside were filled with beautiful places to take portraits and get ready.
Getting ready is all about finding a place that speaks to you, has plenty of space and natural light. It’s always good to see the place before booking, or have stayed there before to get a feel for the space. Not being cramped when getting ready is a real treat for all those there, and allows for a more relaxed getting ready experience.
Shout out goes to Kate’s stunning sequinned dress that stole the show, Josh’s Mid-West inspired dress-code, and the AirBNB for having the best backyard for portraits.
