Brianna & Oliver - Country Bliss
All Bri and Oli were after on their wedding day was for it to be chilled, low key and filled with great wine, delicious food and their nearest and dearest. Picking a date in May in country Victoria can be a tricky one. You can luck out with some of the nicest late autumn weather, with gorgeous foliage in the background, or maybe a tad unlucky with a little rain.
My word, the Castlemaine Botanical Gardens absolutely turned it on and gave us some of the best afternoon lighting during portraits before the ceremony, and set the day off right.
Opting for portraits before your reception in daylight savings hours is perfect so you can enjoy the rest of the day with candids. Get the most out of the sun! Also a perfect time for a first look. Being able to see you and your partner in full before the ceremony *hopefully not too many tears of joy and just laughter!
Georgie is an amazing local celebrant that kicked the ceremony off in style. A super personal and lovely addition to any wedding. Having friends read some heartfelt poems and stories of their first memories Bri and Oli, this lovely part of the botanical gardens was private enough to feel like your own slice without anyone around.
After gorgeous ceremony Oli and Bri wanted to walk their family and friends over to the beautiful winery that is Boomtown Social; a staple of the Castlemaine community. Hosting with delicious wines and food.
Oli and Bri both shucked some oysters for their friends and family. Making sure people are well fed and have a drink in hand is a part of their being, so this was a must.
Lighting up the dance floor with all the Elton John and ABBA hits. This was a great way to end the night once the sun went down and the country winter chill was in full effect.
