Rianna & Steve - Shades Of Green

Rianna & Steve had their original photographer unfortunately cancel on them, but after a friend of theirs recommended me as a replacement we jumped straight onto Zoom and then caught up for a cuppa. Instantly we were all fast friends and knew it would be a great match for me to photograph their wedding.

It’s always fun when weddings are interstate and I can see a new part of Australia and photograph somewhere different, it’s always something that gets the creative juices flowing and that’s when I’m at my best.

Mavis Kitchen up in Northern NSW is a gorgeous spot for a wedding. Close to the Gold Coast and just gorgeous lighting, mountains and green trees and fauna everywhere; I was in heaven.

Above are some of the behind the scenes 35mm film scans.

Below was the gorgeous ceremony spot on top of a mountain, with another gorgeous peak behind. Truly spectacular spot while the late afternoon sun glowed in the background. Steve’s dog stole the show when not wanting to get up and deliver the rings. Shoutout to the legend who picked them up and hand delivered both rings and dog! Everyone loved this little moment.

Perfect lighting and lovely people. Not much more I can ask for when it comes to portrait sessions. So nice and quiet up here where Rianna & Steve could just soak it all in after the ceremony.

I love a long table setup outdoors and this was the perfect warm weather in the evening for this too. Shared food and the drinks flowing was a perfect way to celebrate before jumping into the classic Shoe Game and the dance floor opening up.

Cheeky little sparkler exit on the way out as well!
