Charlotte & Luke - Just The Two Of Us
A wedding, on a Monday morning, at 10.30am, in the middle of Summer? Why not!
When chatting to Luke & Charlotte, all they wanted to do was have a small elopement style wedding, with their closest family there, minimal fuss and just time to hang out with their nearest and dearest.
Down on the Mornington Peninsula, where they live and spend most of their free time, they were able to find the perfect venue that fit for them; Trofeo Estate . With gorgeous trees and lush greenery everywhere, this is the perfect space for a quaint ceremony hosted by the lovely Ebony Carver. Absolutely stunning florals supplied by Millicent Green. Great local supplier of all things flowers!
Ebony ran a flawless ceremony and had the whole group smiling and laughing the entire time. It was genuinely impossible for me to find photos that didn’t have the two of them either beaming from ear to ear or just giggling away. Ceremonies like this are great as everyone has time to sit back and enjoy the ceremony. Nothing is rushed and guests have time to soak it all in.
These two legends deciding who reads their vows first by the age old classic of Scissors, Paper, Rock.
A reminder to always throw your petals ‘Up, not At’ the newlyweds!
One of the easiest and most fun portrait shoots in recent memory. The classic ‘We’re both awkward in front of the camera and in photos’ sentiment, but I don’t see it here. These two were just being themselves and having a great time with each other and it speaks volumes in the photos we took.
After the ceremony at Trofeo Estate. The gang all headed back to Luke’s family home for a reception that was low-key and family orientated (just the way they hoped). With food catered by long time friend and chef Yona (check out his amazing catering business over at Yona’s Kitchen). The whole family just relaxed in the backyard on a lovely summer day with drinks flowing and delicious food. Shortly after this we headed for a little sunset portrait session nearby and the light was gorgeous!
