Emma & James @ Acacia Ridge Yarra Valley

Emma & James absolutely glowing during their petal exit on the way up through the isle at Acacia Ridge Winery in the Yarra Valley.

Emma & James’ wedding was a great full circle moment for me, shooting at one of my favourite venues in the Yarra Valley, Acacia Ridge as the backdrop.

The first wedding I ever shot was for my friends Maddy & Matt. They approached me because they were looking to keep it a small low-key affair in their family’s property, and knew I was handy behind a camera and loved it. I jumped at the opportunity and dove straight in. There I met loads of Matt’s family, and his sister Emma. Fast forward 5 years and she approached me to capture her wedding with her partner James.

Acacia Ridge was looking gorgeous; they have done such a great job investing in the venue and making every aspect and space lush. I love shooting here with so many great options for photos. Lots of great wet weather options too which are handy to have on your wedding day.

Ceremonies By Ally nailed the proceedings and kept everyone calm, cool and collected in the lead up to walking down the isle. Ally is one of my favourite celebrants to work with as she’s funny, confident and amazing behind the microphone at a wedding.

Once all the proceedings were done, some heartfelt speeches and the cake was cut, the dance floor opened up to some of the most energy I have experienced on a dance floor in a while!

This day was so much fun and I can’t wait to get back to Acacia Ridge, I love it here.
